Australia’s recreational drone rules by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) are designed to keep you and others safe, on the ground and in the air. 

Rockhampton Airport is a controlled aerodrome.  Controlled aerodromes usually have an air traffic control tower at them.  You can find a list of civilian air traffic control towers on the Airservices website.  Many defence airfields also have control towers.

The drone safety rules vary depending on whether you are flying commercially of for fun (recreationally).  Let us help you understand what you need to know.
